The KY-033 Line Tracking Sensor Module is a must-have for anyone building line-following robots with Arduino. It uses two infrared sensors to detect the difference between light and dark surfaces, helping your project stay on track. The module has adjustable sensitivity, so you can tweak it to work perfectly with whatever surface you're using. It outputs a simple HIGH/LOW digital signal, making it super easy to hook up to your Arduino or any other microcontroller.

This sensor is perfect for all kinds of projects like autonomous robots or smart car systems. It’s simple to integrate and gives you reliable tracking for your creations. With a voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, it's compatible with most setups, and the small size means it won’t take up much space in your project.

SpecificationValue
Operating Voltage3.3V to 5V
Output SignalDigital HIGH/LOW
Sensor TypeInfrared (IR)
Detection Range3-10 cm
Adjustable SensitivityYes (via potentiometers)
Dimensions~3.5 x 2.0 cm
  1. Wiring: Connect the module’s VCC to 5V and GND to ground on your Arduino. The OUT pin connects to any digital input pin on your Arduino.
  2. Adjust Sensitivity: Use the potentiometers on the module to adjust the sensor’s sensitivity, depending on the surface and lighting conditions.
  3. Code: Write a simple program that reads the digital signal from the OUT pin. The sensor will output HIGH when it's over a dark surface (like a black line) and LOW when it's on a light surface.
  4. Testing: Place the sensor over a track (black line on a white surface) and watch it follow the line as it detects the contrast.
